South Korea Bans Fukushima Fish As Radiations Fears Spread (Video)

By Susan Duclos

South Korea has banned fish imports from the Eastern and north Eastern waters near Japan's devastated Fukushima nuclear plant, due the fears of radiation which has been leaking into the Pacific Ocean by the hundreds of tons. The South Koreans are worried about radioactive fish. South Korean authorities insist this move is necessary due to incomplete information coming out of Japan about the escalating situation.

Seoul had imposed a partial ban on Japanese fish following the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami that led to a meltdown at the Fukushima plant. All fishery products from Fukushima, Japan and seven other nearby prefectures are now banned.
